Nutrition & Hydration Week is fast-approaching. We want to help you get a head start on celebrating and promoting nutrition and hydration in your workplace this year.

What is Nutrition & Hydration Week?

The mission of the week is ‘To create a global movement that will focus energy, activity and engagement on nutrition and hydration as a fundamental element of maintaining the health and well-being for our global community’. This year, Nutrition & Hydration Week will be held 16-22 March and it promises to be a fun and educational week for everyone who gets involved. It has been running since 2012 and increases in popularity every year (follow the @NHWeek on Twitter to see). It’s purpose is to gather people together, celebrate and emphasise the importance of food and drink in maintaining and improving health and wellbeing in health and social care settings.

Organise a Global Tea Party on Wednesday 18th March

Bring everyone in your office together for a tea party. This is a great way to raise awareness of the importance of nutrition and hydration being a fundamental element of maintaining health and wellbeing.  Have posters and flyers out for people to read and you could even create a quiz to get people thinking! Ask everyone to bring in some tea and cake and get together to celebrate.
