CrEATIVE WORKSHOPS

Introduction

Studies have shown that being creative is good for mental wellbeing. Gentle, mindful activities can be great for stress relief and group interactions add a social support element, bringing people together to build relationships and common interests unrelated to work. Research has shown that participating in creative activities decreases stress hormone levels in the body whilst communication, memory and reasoning can improve. Creative activities are great workplace strategies for mental health.

The Workshops

We provide a variety of different creative workshops in the workplace to suit all workplace strategies for mental health. We can provide one-off sessions or longer courses for any of our workshops and all materials are provided. No experience is necessary as the tutors can cater for all levels.

Singing and choir practice
These vibrant and dynamic workplace choirs and singing workshops are a unique way to reduce stress. Our inspiring and passionate musical leaders bring people together with an engaging and energetic experience to increase wellbeing.

Drawing and art classes
Due to its therapeutic qualities, art is often used for stress relief and to help people with depression and anxiety. Painting, drawing, and other mediums are used to create your own artwork.

Flower arranging and wreath making
Flowers involve the senses smell, touch and sight, evoking an emotional response. Studies show that flowers can have a positive impact on mood and happiness. Combine that with the therapeutic effects of creativity and our flower arranging or wreath making workshops are great to improve wellbeing. The arrangements you create are yours to take home.

Crafting classes
Card making, book binding, knitting; we have lots of craft ideas and projects we can introduce employees to. The simple act of focusing your mind and concentrating on craft making can have a meditative effect leading to relaxation and lower stress levels. By encouraging your artistic side and creating something beautiful you get a real sense of achievement leading to feelings of happiness and positivity.

Essential oil workshops
Essential oils can boost the immune system, help with relaxation, sleep, muscle tension and reduce stress levels. In these hands-on classes you’ll learn the basics of how to use essential oils and what they can be used for. You’ll then make some beautiful smelling, therapeutic products to take home: infused baths salts, room sprays and wellness rollers in lovely, reusable glass bottles and jars.

Who is this workshop for?

These benefits are not dependant on skill level, it’s all about participation. From complete beginners to the more experienced, expression through creative activities can benefit everyone.
